Cat Dewormer And Diarrhea?
My 9 month old cat started having runny stool last week, so I took her to the vet yesterday. The stool had no traces of worms or blood. I also took a stool sample to the vet, which was examined and came back negative for a certain type of parasite the vet was worried about (don’t remember the name). The treatment was a de-wormer shot, and he gave me two cans of special food to help make the cat’s stool more solid. A few hours after the vet visit my cat ate a small portion of the canned food and vomited. She was also drowsy and cranky. I stopped feeding her and left only water for her to drink. Today she’s back to her usual self, she’ has appetite and keeps the canned food in, only the diarrhea persists – although it’s not as runny as it was last week. Has anyone here experienced something similar with their cat?
P.S. the usual food I give her is Hill’s Science Plan for kittens, and had no problems with it until last week.
