A: There can be all sorts of reasons that a cat's stools can be borderline horrific. Sometimes it is diet, sometimes it is due to parasites. If the vet has not sorted out the problem, there are two possible reasons for this.
Firstly, perhaps you have not followed you vets instructions 'to the letter', as sometimes when vets give instructions they do not write them down, merely verbalise them and expect the owner to remember. Obviously it is better for the vet to provide an 'aftercare' sheet much like some hospitals do for patients who have been discharged. Another reason that lays again at the door of the vet, is that despite following the vets instructions to the letter, your cat is unwell because the vet has made an incorrect diagnosis, in which case it is up to the owner whether to give the vet a second chance, or find a better vet.
