A: The short answer to this is yes. Symptoms of worms in adult cats can be a bit more difficult to see, so they may have them with out the cat owner knowing. If kittens and adult cats share the same litter box this increases the chance of both having worms, although it isn't a forgone conclusion. If it is worms, and you do not de-worm the adults, then there is always the chance that once recovered, the kitten will get worms again from the infected adult cat.
This is all dependent however on your worm diagnosis being correct in the first place. If there is blood for example in the stools, then the cause of problems may not be for example a tapeworm. At the very least a phone call to the local vet should be made and take it from there.
