My 5 Month Old Kitten Has Been Acting Very Stragely?
My cat has been acting really strangely!?!?
my 5 month old cat has been acting very weird these last few days. she has been sleeping most of the day and all night. she is also losing alot of hair. She is not eating or drinking much. I plan to take her to the vet as soon as possible but i just am looking for some advice.
this whole sleeping alot thing is strange for her as she is normally very playful and runs around for hours on end going to sleep normally at abt 11pm.
she also has pale paw pads and slightly pale gums
she has been vaccinated had worm treatment and all those things. would it be okay if i took her in the morning? (its 10 pm)
i just called the emergency vet service and they tell me its not an emergency and tht i should take her in the morning to the vet. shld i trust this?

The pale gums and pads is what worries me the most. Please have them test her for Felv asap.
The paleness is a sign of anemia which is also a symptom of that disease.

take her to the vet in the morning. but keep in mind kittens tend to act weird. if the weather is hot where u live (if its even one degree above the usual temp) then cats shred hair to accomodate themselves. it might be also beacuse of malnutrition. i suggest adding a spoonfull of the vitamins they give children to increase their appetite (very cheap and will be in any pharmacy or store) to her food. in the mean time, never feed ur cats fish or milk, they do exactly what u r saying and shorten their lifespan. but dont worry, ur cat seems very normal
