Q: My cat has round worm, can I catch them by kissing it?
A: Roundworm develops through the ingestion of the parasitic eggs. Roundworm eggs can exist in dirt, and for small children there is the possibility of contracting roundworm through playing in the dirt. It is highly unlikely that you will contract roundworm by kissing your cat.
The main issue that should be addressed here is getting rid of your cats roundworm, then you will not have to worry about contracting it yourself, as no matter how unlikely it is, you will sleep better knowing that the possibility has gone. There are many preparations available (see below), and if you have any doubts about what you are doing, then at the very least a phone call to your vet is in order.
