White Worms In Cat Poop
Q: What are the tiny moving white worms in my cats poop?
A: It sounds very likely that your cat could have tapeworms which are relatively common. If you haven't treated your cat for fleas recently this could be part of the problem. Tapeworms may occur through your cat ingesting infected fleas. This will be aggravated by the continued prescence of fleas, and you should check your cat closely to see if they are evident.
If this is the case, then you may have two problems on your hands. You need to make sure that your cat does not get any more fleas, and if you are unsure how to do that then ask your vet, but, products are available without having to visit the vet. Secondly, the tapeworms need to be gotten rid of, if you don't get rid of them then it will not be long before your cat is starting to suffer, so the sooner that you act the better. You can by worming preparations over the counter, over the internet (see below), or directly from your vet (who should contact for advice anyway).
