Toddler Eats Cat Poop
Q: My toddler ate cat poop - what should I do?
A: This is probably not as rare as it sounds, as toddlers will eat anything and everything given half the chance, and the first few months of parenthood are spent trying to prevent toddlers from eating what they shouldn't, which is just about everything.
It is unlikely that ingesting cat poop will result in serious illness, however, the most important way to approach this is to err on the site of caution. The first thing to do is to ring your doctor which you would do if anything is amiss with your toddler's health. If you have the chance, you might also ring the vet, and explain what has happened as maybe they can find out if your cat is carrying any parasites which should be of concern to you anyway if you have a small child.
