So my cat threw up a hairball this morning and there was something in it, looked just like an earthworm, but much smaller diameter.
Anyways, does this mean she has worms? And what can I do for her? She has a vet appt. on Thursday, can she wait until then? She seems fine.

ok to make a long story short we got my cat ladybug form the humane society in mid sept……..
apparently THEY tested for all those things in august when she first got there and tested negative for all of them
she is STRICTLY an inside cat since we first got her
we feed her only her purina cat food and maybe once a month she gets canned food. she doesn’t interact with any other animals.
she does not go into the trash and eat trash
although my husband has caught her one time sniffing around the toilet and he thinks she might have drank out of the toilet…but if she did drink that one time she wouldn’t get worms from that one time….right?????
i am really worried about her i know she doesn’t have heart worms cause we used to have a cat who had the same thing with the same symptoms and she got cleaned with two dr visits and a shot
but what would’ve caused her to get worms???
like does it take a long time for the worms to actually develop??

my kitten was found outside while it was raining and it was 4 weeks old i only saw what looked like a grain of rice on its tail once so i looked through its pooh and therewere no parasites is there anything else i can do to see if it has tapewroms remember i only saw the little white thing once and it was on her tail.
ps the pooh was dry

She has scabs all over her body and they don’t go away. The scabs are largee in size and sometimes bleed. My parents think she was just in a couple of fights but they aren’t normal wounds. We don’t have the money to take her to the vet, but its making me sad that she is looking like this. My thoughts is that she might have parasites and if she does is there anyway to help her so she would be feeling well again? She is a calco manx and she is about 9 years old and hasn’t had problems like this before. I hope someone could help me.

how does a cat get worms

or #2. Vet said it’s probally just out of habit but it’s so gross. How can I stop him from doing this if there is a way?

My 6 year Russian Blue started to have diarrhea (sometimes with a little blood) about 3 months ago, so I took him to the vet. They treated him for parasites with meds, probiotics for his system regulaton. and prescription food. He was miserable and NOT getting better. They wanted to put him on steroids for possible IBD. That was when I researched the internet and learned about feeding better food. I tried several brands to find one he would eat. He would get better for a few days and then it was back to the diarrhea. So, I tried making my own food but he wouldn’t eat it. Then, I was at the store and saw Wellness advertised “Grain Free.” I thought maybe he is grain intolerant. He loves the Wellness and his stool was getting better, he was gaining weight and have a lot of energy. This was for about 5 or 6 days. I thought he was cured! Now for two days he has gone back to very loose stool. I am so frustrated. How long does it take for a cat to get used to new food? What else can I do?
