My 6 year Russian Blue started to have diarrhea (sometimes with a little blood) about 3 months ago, so I took him to the vet. They treated him for parasites with meds, probiotics for his system regulaton. and prescription food. He was miserable and NOT getting better. They wanted to put him on steroids for possible IBD. That was when I researched the internet and learned about feeding better food. I tried several brands to find one he would eat. He would get better for a few days and then it was back to the diarrhea. So, I tried making my own food but he wouldn’t eat it. Then, I was at the store and saw Wellness advertised “Grain Free.” I thought maybe he is grain intolerant. He loves the Wellness and his stool was getting better, he was gaining weight and have a lot of energy. This was for about 5 or 6 days. I thought he was cured! Now for two days he has gone back to very loose stool. I am so frustrated. How long does it take for a cat to get used to new food? What else can I do?

I came home and it was in my kitchen sink. Seems to like water. I have three cats. Worm kind of looks like a wire.

I have been worming her with nemex and this was her fourth treatment I gave her yesterday. Do you think it was getting rid of roundworms for a final? Do I need to worm her again in another two weeks? I’m so grossed out. Pretty sure it’s round worms. Long and looked like spagetti like and skinny.

I recently found out my kittens had both fleas and roundworms. My vet gave me Revolution, but explained NOTHING to me. It’s been five days now and I am still finding fleas on them…some dead and some alive. And I don’t see any real evidence of the worms, but the only time I saw them at all was when they vomited them up before treatment. How long should I wait before the fleas all die? The worms? Should I have them quarantined from the family? I am really frustrated and ready to put the cats outside. They are not worth having to deal with this forever, or my kids getting bitten by fleas or sick from worms. Can someone please give me some advice? Thank you.

This weekend my animals have tested my patience in new ways.
Chimmy: 6 month old Jack Russell, had seizure and attacked one of my other dogs.
Poke: 6 week old Fox Terrier X Chihuahua I am fostering him until he gets a new home, he was attacked by Chimmy, needed stitches and I have to supply antibiotics to him.
Aiko: 5-6 month old cat. Another rescue I am fostering, has contracted coccidia, some serious worm condition, mouth ulcers, and a general immunity drop. All from the feral colony and we missed it, have to give her daily worming and antibiotics. VERY unpleasant with a feral.
Patches: My own cat who has caught everything Aiko has and is getting the same treatment, oha nd she is refusing to use her litter tray.
Max: 3 month old Jack Russell, healthy but depressed.
Bubbles: My one truly healthy animal, except she got into the dog food and has the runs.
When will it stop?!

My cat has been having diarrhea for about 3 weeks. I took her to the vet last wednesday. The vet gave me antibiotics, some tablets for the diarrhea, and told me that there was no parasites in the feces. I found some blood in her stool this morning and call the vet. They asked me to pick up some medicine for parasites. I didn’t feel comfortable with that because they didn’t even take a look at my cat and they told me there was no parasites during the last visit. I went to another vet, the nurse told me that the antibiotics should take 14 days to work. And the blood in the stool might have been caused by anal discomfort. My next appointment is scheduled on 9/3. What should I do? My cat has been eating and drinking well and no fever and other signs.
