My 3 year old male cat just threw up and as i was cleaning it i noticed that what looked like a small white thread in the vomit. When i examened it closer i realized it was moving..it was only one ‘worm’ and i’m not sure what to do. Any help?

i have a kitten and sometimes after he goes to the bathroom he’ll drag his bum on the floor then clean his bum.. he was given medicine to prevent worms though? my mom said maybe he’s just trying to clean him bum? what do you think?

She has always been on the plumper side, and now she seems a little TOO thin. I mean she has been outside a lot more in the nice weather, but she has never been this thin, and I have not decreased the amount of food I am feeding her. What do I do?

I volunteer at my local animal shelter and he is our shelter cat. When i do see him, he acts normal and eats.
He is neutered and about 1 year old. We have another cat and he’s in good health and neutered too.
does he have worms or something else.

I have two male cats both around 2yrs old. I saw one worm on the one cat’s backside and haven’t seen any since that, but have noticed little things that look like seasame seeds.(not everday though) I haven’t noticed anything with the other cat. I would usually take them both to the vet but money is kinda tight right now and I was wondering if anybody knew of any over the counter worm treatment that really works? Should both cats be treated? And also is it safe to use Revolutions with the worm treatment?

well, I have kept a stray cat as a pet. It WILL get vaccinated, but hasnt yet. It has flees. so one time as I pet it and of course, a flee Jumped on me…..so i got all these flee bites and stuff….
WHAT WORRIES ME THOUGH…is shes a stray cat. I have No clue if she has worms/parasites/disease….etc.
someone told me that you can get infected with a stray cat’s Roundworms through a flee bite..
is this true?

Both cats have been treated once and one cat twice.

My cat who is 15 months old, every couple months for the last 6 months has been having problems with diaherrea. My cat is an indoor cat. My vet has checked her for worms, parasites, etc. Results came back negative. My vet thinks she has hairballs that is causing the problem. This last week, she started the diaherrea thing again. I gave her the Laxatone for 4 days straight (using a syringe because she does not like it). The Laxatone did not help. So, my vet had me give her a Pepto Bismol tablet to clear up the diaherrea. It did not work completely. Last night, she pucked up the biggest hairball I have ever seen. It must have been in her system for sometime. Now, my vet wants to check for Colitis. However, there is no blood in her stool. The diaherrea causes her to not use the litter box I guess because of the squirting and the sensation?? Has anyone out there had the same problem?

she might have it. she’s had it before. and i found a peice of one (which is a little worm type thing looking like rice) and she has only had one, i slept with her for two nights, im afraid i might have it!
i am going to take her to the vet, what do you think they will give her? what kind of treatment?

I think my cat has tape worms, i recently noticed small rice sized white worms around her butt. At first i didn’t know if it was worms, but after researching it i noticed it was, can i get them too?
