My cat, who is about three years old, is skinny. I feed him regularly, at regular times, but he’s soooo tiny >__< I want to go to the vet's, but it's just too much damn money. He's so precious to me though!! I want to try adding eggs into his hairball formula (he has dreadful hairball episodes… He grooms himself more than he breathes x__x), but I heard it only works well with dogs.
As far as I'm concerned, he eats two to three times a day. Or three or four… But four is definitely the max. My mom just says he's outside all day, and he runs off all of his calories. But whenever I come home from school, he's just lounging on the porch, grooming himself or sleeping!!
Should I be concerned about internal parasites?
Are eggs and the food mixed together a healthy and safe alternative than his regular hairball formula?
HELP!!

He is an indoor cat. I also have another indoor cat. Should I do something to him also??

After seeing an advert on a local pet rehoming forum for a male kitten we went to collect him for our daughter. the lady said he is about 11 weeks old but is tiny, she just put him in our cat box and closed the door, needless to say the house looked less than pleasent.
Anyways we got him home yesterday and noticed he was covered in poo, so gave him a bath, and his stomach is huge, extreemly swollen and he is a bag of bones, thinking he had worms we went and got him both roundworm and tapeworm treatments and have given him both, i have noticed a few worm in his stools after treating him with the tapeworm drops, his tummy is still very swollen tho and he is a very hungry little fella, he also seems to have an extreemly sore and swollen anus and clumps of poo and somtimes diarohea just fall out when he is walking around, other that this he is very lively.
As it is the weekend the vets have been closed so we are taking him to our vets after work tomorrow, but im really worried about him at the moment and was wondering if anybody knew what could be wrong and if this could affect our other cat nemo – who has actually stayed away from the little one as he is scared of him lol
any answers much appreciated
thanks

I have a kitten just turned two months old
I got it from some lady off craigslist.
I know my cat has ear ites it has black oily stuff in it’s ear a lot so i need to know the best way to get a treatment for that without going to a vet.
But the scariest thing is I think it has some kind of worm and i DO NOT want to get it, i mean i really don’t
I want to know how i could get it, all it really shows to make me think it has worms is when it poops there is blood.
Please help me
I want to know how to fix his health issues without really going to a vet since it’s so expensive
I know he needs to get his shots, he hasn’t even had his kitten shots.
I’m going to do that through the humane society
so please help me out.
thanks

Apart from my in-house pets (1 dog and 2 cats) I have three ‘garden ‘ cats, that come and go as they please but mainly stay there because I feed/look after them.
To-day I decided to de-worm them and ground up some drontal tablets which I mixed with their food. They were about two thirds through their meal when a neighbour’s dog jumped over the wall and ate the remainder.
Do you think they got enough medicine or will I have to give the same again?
If I do have to repeat, should I wait a few days until the current dose has cleared their systems?

Ok I took my cat to the vet because he had really mucous looking stools with blood in it. In addition to that he was loosing weight. They did testing on his stool and no parasites came back. Said his intestines seemed a bit inflamed and throat slightly also on exam. Tested for FIV and Feline leukemia both negative. Gave him a shot of antibiotics and sent me home w/some also and canned hills food. A week goes by and no improvement. We took him back and ran full blood tests. He checked him and noticed he was dehydrated and his throat was very sore. Did xray to make sure there was no blockage of intestines nothing was found. Gave him a injection bubble of fluids and another shot of antibiotics. Sent me home w/different antibiotics. He still only licks his food rarely, drinks every now and then but not enough, and still has the mucous blood tinged diarrhea. Blood tests said he has a bacterial infection. I am just very concerned w/o eating for SO long. Please any info 2 help b4 its to late

Okay, for about 2-3 weeks lately, I’ve been having constipation and when I do have a bowel movement, it’s not as much as it should be. This struck me as alarming so I went and saw several doctors and got cat scans, which showed everything is alright.
So please, first off don’t recommend me to see a doctor – I already did.
The only thing that showed up on the cat scan was a cyst on my right ovary which my doctor said was completely normal and harmless and should go away on it’s own. I was ovulating.
So that brings me to this: I’m wondering, might I have parasites?
How can I tell if I have parasites?
Better yet, how do I get rid of parasites naturally?
How do I get my bowel movements back to normal?
Normally, I have about 3 bowel movements a day.
Lately, I’ve been having like 1 movement every couple of days which is not normal to me.
How do I regulate my bowel movements?
I’ve also had strained urination and the doctor said there’s no explanation for that.
Please help with meaningful suggestions!! Thanks. I’m only 18 by the way.
