No you may not ever see any worms in their poop but cats should be wormed regularly to keep them free of worms, most vets recommend every 3 months. If you go to your vets with your cats age and weight, they will sell you the correct treatment.Cats should be regularly treated with flea prevention too, ask about that also as different vets use different treatments.

My cat has always been an indoor cat, but for the last year he has had to live outside because of my evil stepfather (lol) who doesn’t like cats. He would come back to the house to eat and I noticed he lost a lot of weight. Now that I am living with my aunt she let the cat inside the house and he has been sleeping in my room, IN MY BED………and today I noticed a little white thing hanging out of his butt and i was like what the hell is that so i took a closer look and it sucked back in… then came back out and i FREAKED OUT it was a worm! So grabbed toilet paper and got it out and told my mom. Now, she freaked me out cause I went back to sleep with my cat in my bed and said i need to wash everything in my room and throw the cat outside until we can treat him. My question is, am I infected with the worms too since I have been sleeping with my cat and he has most likely been dropping worms and/or eggs all over my bed that I lay in. I’m not going to lie I am terrified. I don’t want worms and now my mom is quarantining my room and washing everything in there lol…….. HELP!!!!!!!!!!

My cat had worms and I took her to the vet, and it was about $100, they gave her a deworming pill, and then another one 3 weeks later. Now she doesn’t have worms! Def. take kitty to the vet, it is worth the cost, the dewormers from the petstore really aren’t that good.

I went to the shelter today to donate some food, kitten city, wish I could take them all home, I went in a room full of kittens, some of them had worms I was told, they climbed up my pants. I stopped by my moms and changed my pants just in case something can transfer like that, and I washed my hands, but I forgot to remove my shoes before I came in and walked all over my apartment, can you transfer worms like that to your cat?

The yellow things don’t move or look alive and the kittens are outside. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it?

Ooh, not fun. An older cat of mine had that…can’t recall the name…but you need to go to the vet and get a certain medicine to be given with food.

It can spread the worms to other cats. But depending on the type of worm it is will depend on if it can be spread to humans. I would take the cat to the vet to get a fecal done and get some preventative for it.

There are 2 types of worms that can be passed from cats to humans…Roundworms and Hookworms.
The eggs of these worms are sticky and can get stuck on your hands or under your fingernails, and if you don’t wash up well enough, you could ingest the eggs and get worms.
I don’t know what “wooval” worms are, though.
I work at an animal hospital after school as a tech assistant, and I just learned how to find worm eggs in fecals under a microscope. Hope this helps.
