My two cats were given shots for roundworms at 2 months old..now they are almost 6 months. I went to the vet today because one of my cats has a small lump on his back (attached to the skin…almost like a large internal zit). I gave the cat an antibotic pill and this evening the cat threw up round worms (long and spegetti like). This is the first time either one of them have thrown up worms. I guess the worms never left or they are back! Here are my questions:
1) Did the antibotic make my cat throw up the round worms that have been in his body?
2) Could the lump on his back (internal…attached to the skin) be a lump of worms?
3) I kiss my cats on their neck and face…do I have a good chance of getting round worm?

So I just got a kitten from a friend recently, looked completely healthy.
Then I noticed his tummy was alittle bloated, I ignored it at first (stupid me) I thought it was just from him not eating much…
One day he threw up, but it was not just normal.
A few giant ring worms were in it, I’m pretty worried due to the fact that
I have 2 other cats, so I got the meds asap.
I put some in her mouth, and kept her in my room while i was asleep just in case she did it again no other cats would get into it.
when I got up there must of been atleast 6 piles of round worms in my room.
I’m wondering if her vomiting Round Worms is good after I gave her the meds? is that how it’s cured? and how can I know it’s taking affect ?

Okay I don’t know what people are saying here but if it’s small and white like a piece of rice, it’s a tapeworm. If they are really long it might be ringworm.
No need to be alarmed, LOTS of animals get this and it’s easily removed. You get tapeworm when the pet accidentally swallows a dead flea (when they are grooming and scratching themselves)…DO NOT GIVE THEM THE STUFF YOU BUY AT GROCERY STORES OR PET STORES!! Sometimes pets have bad seizures from those. Get your deworming medication from a vet.

My cat came inside and sat down at his water bowl. Got up and there was a worm about 4 inches long and thin as a pencil lead. It looked just like a night crawler and I have never heard of a parasite worm looking like a night crawler.
Could if have been just stuck to him?
Or was it some kind of parasite that I have not seen yet?
