Q: What are these white worms on my cat?
A: These worms could be one of several things. They could literally be maggots, as your cat may be eating from an animal carcass without you knowing. Obviously it will be difficult for you to check this by following it, but it may be one potential answer. Have you checked the cats litter box regularly? This is one of the first things that you should look at.
Whether the worms are actually on the fur, or are on the bottom on end of your cat makes a difference. As ever if you are not sure exactly what is going on then the solution is to contact a vet. You may want to collect some of these worms to take to the vet to help the vet identify them, but if you do so be very careful, or more importantly ring your vet and ask them about collecting worms, because they may know about an infestation in the area, and may advise that either you do or not collect them.
